സമയത്തിൽ ഘനീഭവിച്ച 
ഒരു നിശ്ചല ശിൽപം 
കാലത്തിന്റെ കുത്തിയൊഴുക്കിൽ
നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു പോയേക്കാവുന്ന 
കൂട്ടിലടക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു സംഭവം 

അത് വെറും മിഥ്യ

ചെറുപ്പകാലത്ത്, ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫർ മാർ ചിത്രമെടുക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ ഞാൻ ചുറ്റി പറ്റി നിൽക്കും. അവർ നൂറു കണക്കിനാണ് ചിത്രങ്ങൾ എടുക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് അന്നാണ് ഞാൻ അറിഞ്ഞത്. ഞാൻ ആലോചിച്ചു. എന്തിനീ വൃഥാ വ്യയം.

ഏറ്റവും യഥാതഥമായ പ്രതീകമല്ലോ ഈ നിശ്ചല ചിത്രം. യാഥാർത്യ ത്തോട് തോളുരുമ്മി നിൽക്കുന്ന ചിന്ഹം . അതിനെ വ്യങ്ങ്യ വൽകരിക്കാൻ പ്രയാസമാണ്. എന്നിട്ടും ഞാൻ പറയുന്നു അതൊരു മിഥ്യ ആണെന്ന്.

so it is false.

why?

during my childhood, whenever i see press photographers taking photographs, i will loiter around them, and it was thus i understood that they are taking pictures, literally in hundreds. why, such a waste, i always thought.

the photograph is the most realistic of all symbols, a code which in all ways resemble the original. you cannot falsify a photograph. still i want to call it false!
