RESISTING INTIMACY:

the present tendency of the human society is to resist intimacy in all forms and there are thousands of ways to practice it. the striking applications are machines, which in many ways distances a man/woman from his fellow beings. in physical world , distances had got a serious drawback. it converts a three dimensional world into two dimensional. an airborne travel distances you from the earth and makes earth just like a circle drawn on a piece of paper. without pricks of conscience , now you can destroy it. to kill with a knife, you can be cruel, but to kill with a gun , you cannot be so. in one you are at the proximity, and in the other you are distanced. the human society is to evolve through intimate inter actions. tools are only our extended hands. it must not be permitted to guide us, and never permitted to be our masters. computer, internet, facebook...etc. etc. are all our inventions. they are not to guide us, but we are to guide them.. from inland letter to telephone to face book , every thing tried to distance man from his fellow being . but we were always aware of those dangers.

sometimes one is provoked to think that philosophy had got a distancing purpose. when one is at the war field and on seeing the thousands of blood relatives in front, when one puts down one's weapons, the other provokes him through the aid of philosophy, to make him cruel
